Cranberry juice is a refreshing fruit juice that is also particularly popular with womenfolk due to the fact that it can prevent bladder infections. Women who take this juice on a regular basis are not prone to bladder infections.

Cranberry juice is also known for dental health benefits because it contains a specific substance which keeps away bacteria from sticking to the teeth. We all know that bacteria are the prime cause of dental  cavities. Add some cranberry juice to your diet and you can be assured of receiving a congratulatory comment from your dentist.

Cranberry juice may not be the tastiest juice for some people, if it’s not sweetened. A solution to this problem is to mix cranberry juice with other fruit juices such as Apple or grapefruit juice.

Cranberry juice can be an excellent juice for children for their breakfast as its good to get them used to healthy foods.

Currently cranberry juice varieties available in supermarkets are also packed with other minerals and vitamins. For example Oceanspray brand cranberry juice contains 10% of the recommended Daily Value of calcium. This should be a pleasant news for those who are worried about osteoporosis as well as those who are averse to taking milk.

Researchers are also suggesting that Cranberry juice could prevent stomach ulcers due to the existence of the same substance that prevents bacteria from sticking to the teeth.

Cranberries are also rich in antioxidants and can prevent the oxidation of low-density cholesterol. Hence the anti-sticking properties of cranberries prevent cholesterol from attaching to the blood vessels in the same way these properties prevent bacteria from sticking to the teeth and stomach cells.

Introducing cranberry to children, especially as a breakfast juice, is an excellent idea because of its refreshing taste and all round health benefits. But keep an eye on the sugar content. High sugar content adds unwanted calories and increases the likelihood of teeth problems.
